NorthFirst.AI is an AI-native Agentic Platform designed to help the healthcare industry stay compliant with federal and state regulations. The platform unifies all key regulatory components including compliance assets, policies, contracts, regulatory notices, and base regulations into a centralized, easily accessible repository of information.
AI isn't a feature we bolt on, it's the core of what we do. We're looking for an AI Lead to own the technical direction of our models, shape how we build and ship intelligence, and raise the bar for what's possible on our platform.
Own the end-to-end development of our AI Agentic system: from problem framing and data pipelines to model training, evaluation, and production deployment
Define our modeling strategy, set the technical direction for AI quality
Work directly with product and engineering to ship AI-powered features that users love
Hire and mentor the AI team as we grow, establishing best practices and a culture of rigorous experimentation
5+ years working in AI engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior individual contributor role
Deep hands-on experience with modern LLMs and/or ML systems
Comfortable working across the stack: data, training, inference, and the product surface where the model lands
Track record of shipping fast without cutting corners on the things that matter
